Larry Ames – President
Larry Ames founded Bemas Construction, Inc. in 1995, utilizing his thirty-five years of experience in the construction industry as the basis for his expertise and he continues to be the current President of Bemas. Larry started working for Ames in 1962 and operated heavy equipment and grading for housing sites and highways. In 1969, he became a foreman for Ames. In 1976 Larry moved to North Dakota to work on the UPA-CPA power plant at Underwood. He worked in that state for eight years as a project superintendent. In 1982 he moved to Delta, Utah where Ames Construction was one of the prime contractors at I.P.P. power plant project. In 1984 through 1995, Larry was in charge of most of the major projects for Ames in Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico and Nevada including 100,000,000 cy of excavation for the Denver International Airport.
Ron Kellish- CFO
Ron Kellish received an accounting degree from Syracuse University and a Masters in Taxation from the University of Denver. Ron began working for Bemas in 1998 as the Chief Financial Officer. Ron is actively involved with several aspects of project management and corporate financing. Ron is also a member of the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver and a member of several State Contracting Associations including Colorado and North Dakota.
Billy Ames- General Superintendent
Billy Ames has been the General Superintendent for Bemas Construction since 1999. Billy has significant experience with airport runway projects, municipal water storage facilities and commercial building projects.
Todd Dunn – Project Superintendent
Todd Dunn has been with Bemas for 10 years and has 14 years of construction experience. Todd is responsible for subcontractor coordination and onsite project management for Bemas projects.
Ron Smith- Equipment Superintendent
Ron Smith is the lead mechanic specializing in preventative maintenance for heavy equipment. Before joining Bemas in 2011, Ron worked for John Deere as a field mechanic for 12 years then as a service manager for 6 years.
Mike Bussey- Project Manager
Mike Bussey started working for Bemas Construction in 1994 as an operator. In 2000 Mike became a project manager and has worked on projects such as the Jefferson County Airport and the Chambers Road/Mainstreet extension. Mike specializes in both commercial and residential projects, overlot grading, and railroads.
Evan Premschak-Project Manager
After graduating from the Colorado School of Mines with a degree in Engineering, Evan joined Bemas in May 2011 as a project manager. He has been project manager on jobs such as Highway 20 & Highway 23 in North Dakota. Evan concentrates on heavy highway projects.
